In this session we will take a close look at the role of Ahashverosh to help him find his voice & help us see that in political life some things never change.

This is the third of a short course of three related but self-contained sessions which will take a fresh look at a familiar story, the book of Esther, exploring the contribution that traditional commentaries such as midrash can make towards a mature understanding of the characters involved. The sessions will use guided text- based discussions to bring the characters of Esther, Vashti & Ahashverosh to life.

Each session is self- contained and no prior experience of text- based learning is required but audience participation is encouraged.
