Bloch & Chassidic Music – recital and discussion

Location: LIMMUD Lounge

This concert is centered on the figure of Jewish composer Ernest Bloch and his Hassidic Oeuvre. The musicians will also present some traditional pieces arranged by composer George Perlman to provide a fuller understanding of Hassidic music, together with a facilitated discussion of the music by Barbara Glaser of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
