Are Strong Women Born or Made? The Book of Esther, Session 1

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Location: Small Shul

This session will look at the development of Esther from "dumb blonde" to Wonder Woman & ask if she always had it in her.

This is the first of a short course of three related sessions which will take a fresh look at a familiar story, the book of Esther, exploring the contribution that traditional commentaries such as midrash can make towards a mature understanding of the characters involved. The sessions will use guided text- based discussions to bring the characters of Esther, Vashti & Ahashverosh to life.

Each session is self- contained and no prior experience of text- based learning is required but audience participation is encouraged.
