Location: R4

What is Jewish History in a small country like New Zealand "on the other side of the world"? There are some complex questions: How can or should it be written? What and who should it include? Who can write it? Such questions generate more questions - for instance, "Who and what is Jewish for the purposes of such a history?", and "Does a specifically Jewish history even exist in this country?"; questions like these have generated argument and controversy in other countries.
